Blue Goat Careers was born out of a genuine desire by founders Amanda Smith & Kate Thorne to provide people with the confidence to make the best career decisions for themselves, and self assurance to revise and renew their goals in a constantly developing environment. Both Amanda and Kate have worked extensively in their field across Australia and Internationally. As a team, they have supported numerous individuals and businesses across Brisbane and South East Queensland since 2012.
Through our programmes and individual conversations, we simply want to help people make smart career decision for themselves and be happy with their choices.
It is our hope that, whatever career path our clients choose, it takes them on a journey that gives provides a sense of purpose, gains mastery in their field over time, success in their personal achievements and contribution to those around them.

The colour BLUE has always been associated with integrity, trust and honesty.
The Blue Goat team wants to having integrity in everything we do and everything we say - no matter how hard or challenging the circumstances might be. We want our clients to feel safe and secure, know that they are getting an honest and objective assessment of their situation, with considered and thoughtful support.
GOATS are notorious for having absolutely hilarious levels of energy as kids, and amazing resilience to climb steep mountains as adults.
From a youngster bouncing around having fun through to adult goats who climb steep mountains, goats have persistence and determination, especially when the going gets tough. They know that the view at the top of the mountain is always worth the climb. We want to help our clients have fun on their journey and achieve something that in the end, allows them to indulge in a strong sense of personal pride.

It is our vision to create a world where every adult, from young students to mature elders, gain the clarity, confidence and skills to fulfil a sense of personal purpose and achievement with their work.
Blue Goat is founded on the belief that if you know yourself well, and are willing to continuously learn throughout your life, you can consciously make wise life and career choices that will satisfy your need to achieve and contribute to this world, without being negatively influenced by others, or distracted away from your goals.

Our mission is to provide Young Adults with the skills to transition from dependent child to independent adult with confidence in their ability to make good choices.
To facilitate Adults, who have not yet found their purpose in work, to gain a sense of focus and direction.
To support working Adults to gain mastery in their chosen field by enriching their personal skills and mindset to achieve their potential.
To inspire ‘Modern Elders’ to remain productive and influential in society while maintaining a healthy attitude towards creating a meaningful, purposeful ‘retirement’.
