The average person spends between 40 and 50 years of their life working, so it is important we enjoy what we are doing, and that it satisfies our need to thrive.
Given the extraordinary amount of time we spend working, the income that we earn and the work life balance it creates, we are absolutely committed to helping every single person get to work in the best possible job or career that is created just for them. Through our career coaching programmes and individual conversations, we aim to provide the skills and direction our clients need to make confident career decisions with clarity, lead them to live a life that maximises their personal success, and minimises stress and anxiety.
STUDENT / YOUNG ADULT
CAREER COACHING
The Blue Goat Young Adult individual coaching is designed with the School Leaver or Young Adults in mind - if you are under 25 years old, this is probably the space for you. These sessions are highly personalised while being relaxed, fun and open for your to express your ideas. We create opportunities to explore all your career dreams, no matter how ridiculous that might seem to some people. But if you don’t get the chance to explore all your options, you might always feel a sense of “but I didn’t…. try”.
During these individual sessions, we will facilitate you to understand the options available to you based on YOUR unique aspirations, goals, skills, personality, interests, motivation and values. You will learn the fundamentals of how to make the best career choices for you today, and apply those same principles throughout your career as you progress through different life stages.
We work with school students who have not left school, university/TAFE/VET students who are unsure if they are in the right course, school leavers who simply haven’t found what they want to do, and parents who are supporting young adults in their choices.
EMPLOYED ADULTs
CAREER COACHING
The Blue Goat Employed Adults Career Coaching looks at exactly where you are today, how you got there, and start the exploration into where you want to go. It is a highly personalised discussion designed to assess areas you haven’t yet considered, or look at avenues you want to pursue, but don’t yet know how.
We facilitate you to understand the best way forward for you, based on your aspirations, goals, skills, personality, interests, motivation and values. We also take into account your current circumstances, so that we can balance your financial commitments, responsibilities etc, when considering a significant transition. You will learn the fundamentals of how to make the best career and life decisions, both now and into the future.
We work with individuals at all stages of their careers; new starters, experienced professionals, career finishers etc. Whether you are looking to find a career or change it, get in touch. We promise we will open your eyes to a new way of viewing your next career step.
PROGRAMMES TO SUPPORT SCHOOLS
Blue Goat Careers works with schools, their guidance counsellors, careers advisors and teaching staff to provide flexible programmes and support designed to identify the unique needs of each individual student and help them learn to make confident and independent choices they are happy with.
Evidence has shown that school children want more tailored career guidance earlier and more often. School career practitioners want more time and resources to meet these requirements. Employers are also indicating that school children are not sufficiently equipped to start work after school, for which work experience is a highly valued activity.
A range of School Programmes are available and can be tailored to meet the needs of your students, your school, teachers and wider school community. We combine both individual support and a platform to master work experience opportunities.
